Improving the status of women
The Palestinian Federation of Women was established in 1965 in the city of Jerusalem as a democratic mass organization and a base of the Palestine Liberation Organization. It represents Palestinian women wherever they are found on the homeland, among the masses of the people and in the diaspora, and is united by their struggles in the battle for the complete national independence of our people and their struggles to obtain their rights and equality.
In the belief of the General Union of Palestinian Women in the national constants embodied in the Declaration of Independence in 1988, which are based on the natural, historical and legal right of the Palestinian people.
And the sacrifices of successive generations in defense of the freedom and independence of their homeland and the strength of international legitimacy embodied in the United Nations resolutions since 1947, which guarantee our people’s right to freedom, return, and self-determination.
