The Arab Women Authority has launched an international forum initiative towards a green world. This initiative has been created in alignment with the United Nations Climate Change Conference on November 30, 2023, which will be hosted by the United Arab Emirates at the Dubai Expo.
The media office of the Arab Women Authority said in a press release that the forum will be attended by representatives of non-governmental women’s unions and associations in the Arab world who are members of the authority and a number of specialists.
The Authority will be showcasing the work plan of the initiative, which aims to plant 22 million trees, two million trees per year, as part of the authority’s participation in enhancing the involvement of the Arab Women Authority in combating desertification, improving living conditions, and spreading environmental awareness based on the importance of community participation in implementing the goals of the Cairo Climate Conference.
The press release has added that one of the goals of the conference is to work to employ women in marginal environments in agriculture and find sources of income by learning the basics of the agricultural profession and contribute to expanding the area of participation in supporting the Our Green World initiative by spreading the culture of the environment and caring for the planet on which we live.
The Authority will make preparations for the success of this initiative by conducting partnerships and cooperation agreements with many specialized international and regional organizations, companies and civil society organizations in the Arab countries to involve the widest sectors in the implementation of this initiative.
